The Gwinnett Chamber and Partnership Gwinnett recently hosted a sold-out event as part of Global Atlanta’s Consular Conversations: OTP series, focusing on international investment opportunities in the Dominican Republic. The gathering drew more than 100 attendees interested in global business expansion and foreign investment.
Rosa Yanina Torres Tamares, Consul General of the Dominican Republic in New Orleans, Louisiana, delivered an address highlighting her country’s role in global trade, tourism, and economic development. She emphasized the Dominican Republic’s diplomatic and commercial relationships with Georgia and the southeastern United States.
A panel discussion followed, featuring Miguel Angel Santana Galva, Vice Consul and Head of Trade & Investment Affairs for the Dominican Consulate. Representatives from both Dominican and Georgia-based companies participated, sharing examples related to investment, import/export logistics, and bilateral partnerships that contribute to economic growth.
Trevor Williams, Managing Editor of Global Atlanta, moderated the program. He guided a conversation focused on cross-border business connections and Gwinnett County’s leadership in global economic engagement.
Attendees also experienced a lunch catered by Latin Fresh. The event was designed to support Gwinnett’s strategy for economic development by fostering international connections. This positions it as a gateway for companies seeking to expand globally.
