The Gwinnett Leadership Organization for Women (GLOW), a program of the Gwinnett Chamber, recently held its Swing & Social event at Top Golf Buford. The gathering brought together more than 100 women working in business for an evening focused on networking and building connections. The event emphasized how golf can be used as a tool to foster professional relationships.
According to organizers, golf has traditionally served as a setting where business relationships are formed and strengthened outside formal office environments. GLOW’s Swing & Social was designed to provide women executives with opportunities to connect in a relaxed atmosphere. “Golf is more than just a game; it is a proven tool for building relationships and growing business,” said the event announcement.
Sponsors for the event included About Face Skin Care and Northside Hospital, with additional support from MST and Rainbow Village.
The Gwinnett Chamber has announced more golf-related activities this fall. On September 26, the Gwinnett Chamber Foundation will hold the Rock the Range Fundraiser at Chateau Elan, which will feature networking opportunities along with food, beverages, and instruction on using golf for business development. On October 30, the Fall Classic Golf Tournament will take place at Bears Best, offering participants a chance to play on a well-known course while connecting with other local professionals. Sponsorships are available for businesses seeking greater exposure through these events.
The Chamber noted that such gatherings continue to offer members new ways to network and develop professionally through shared activities like golf. “With GLOW Swing & Social, the Gwinnett Chamber once again demonstrated that when business leaders come together, growth and opportunity follow,” according to organizers.
