On Friday, April 11, former Duluth High School standout Kendall Smiley’s current college team, the Michigan State Spartans, lost 12-4 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Illinois Fighting Illini.

The game took place at Eichelberger Field. This was their first matchup against the Fighting Illini this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at 1 p.m. at Eichelberger Field against Illinois Fighting Illini.
