On Saturday, April 12, former Duluth High School standout Kendall Smiley’s current college team, the Michigan State Spartans, won 7-5 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Illinois Fighting Illini.

The game took place at Eichelberger Field. This was their second matchup against the Fighting Illini this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 13 at 12 p.m. at Eichelberger Field against Illinois Fighting Illini.
