Rep. Scott Hilton, a Republican representing Georgia’s 48th House District, shared updates on legislative progress and religious observances through his Twitter account in early April 2026.
On April 2, Hilton announced the advancement of his healthcare legislation, stating: “So excited to announce that my bill, H.B. 506, passed the House and is on to the Governor’s Desk for signature! H.B. 506 ends the practice of surprise billing on EMS/Ambulance services, protecting patients and reducing healthcare costs for millions.”
Two days later, on April 3, Hilton posted a message reflecting on Good Friday: “It is finished. Jesus paid it all, so we could have it all. Have a blessed Good Friday. “
On Easter Sunday, April 5, he extended holiday greetings with the tweet: “Christ is Risen! Happy Easter from our family to yours!”
Hilton was elected to the Georgia State House in 2023 after replacing former state representative Mary Robichaux. His recent legislative activity centers on healthcare reform aimed at ending surprise billing for emergency medical services.
