Rep. Scott Hilton, a Republican representing Georgia’s 48th House District, recently posted several updates on his official Twitter account regarding legislative traditions, fiscal policy, and his political candidacy.

On March 9, Hilton highlighted a longstanding tradition at the state capitol by posting: “Annual House vs. Senate Kickball game! The Georgia House brought home the trophy again this year! This is one of my favorite bipartisan traditions durng the legislative session. As always, great coaching by Speaker @JonBurnsGA!”.

The following day, on March 10, Hilton addressed state financial management and economic competitiveness. He wrote: “Thanks to conservative leadership – Georgia maintains a balanced budget, healthy reserve, and low taxes that attract jobs from California and more! We’re fighting to keep Georgia the best place to live, work and raise a family. “.

Later that same day, Hilton announced his nomination status for the upcoming election cycle: ” IT’S OFFICIAL! Excited to announce that I will be your Republican nominee this November for House District 48. It’s truly humbling to serve and be on your ballot. I work every day to champion common sense, bipartisan issues that unite us and moves our state forward.”

Hilton was elected in 2023 to represent Georgia’s 48th House District after succeeding former representative Mary Robichaux. His recent posts reflect ongoing efforts both in fostering bipartisanship within the legislature and maintaining policies he credits with supporting Georgia’s economy.
