Rep. Scott Hilton, a Republican representing Georgia’s 48th House District since 2023, posted several updates on his Twitter account regarding the activities of the Georgia Legislature in January 2026.

On January 11, Hilton informed followers about the legislative session’s return, writing, “The Georgia Legislature reconvenes tomorrow – grateful for your prayers as we weigh decisions that impact 11 million Georgians. Truly honored to serve our community. “

Later that day, he acknowledged the work of his colleagues in organizing the legislative schedule: “Tremendous work – thank you @GaHouseHub Leader Efstration and Majority Leader @jasonanavitarte – this is the earliest I’ve ever seen a schedule. This is a huge help as we plan family and work obligations and share when constituents can visit us.” The post highlighted appreciation for efficient planning within the legislature.

On January 13, Hilton congratulated a fellow representative from Gwinnett County on a new leadership role: “Congratulations to my colleague and Gwinnett County Representative @soohong on being elected to our caucus leadership team – you’ll do fantastic! “

Hilton began serving in the Georgia State House after being elected in 2023 to represent District 48, succeeding Mary Robichaux.
