Duluth Police Department issued the following announcement on June 18.
Congratulations go to Officer Ted Sadowski for being chosen as Officer of the Month for May 2021.
Officer Sadowski was chosen because of the excellent job he is doing in reaching out to the community and coming up with different ways to keep citizens and officers engaged in a positive way. Although his main responsibilities include being our Public Information Officer, Social Media Coordinator, and Crime Analyst, he never hesitates to go outside of those duties and help where he is needed, especially with community-oriented projects. In today’s current climate, it is important to prioritize keeping the lines of communication open with the public, and to create partnerships with the community we serve.
Officer Sadowski makes a great effort in engaging citizens through in-person visits and through our social media. Last month, he worked with one of our community leaders to organize a “Coffee with a Cop” event, which turned out to be a great success.
Thank you, Officer Sadowski, for working so hard to “bridge the gap” and create positive relationships between our agency and members of the community.
