The Gwinnett Stripers are set to become a part of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH), following an agreement with the Atlanta Braves.

DBH, a subsidiary of global sports and entertainment company Endeavor, aims to enhance the sport through professional management, best practices, innovation and investment, according to the MiLB.

In a Dec. 8 release from the Stripers, vice president and general manager Erin McCormick said the Gwinnett Stripers are excited to join DBH and are proud to continue as the Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.

“Under the leadership of DBH, we will further our commitment to the creativity and innovation that make Coolray Field one of the best fan experiences in minor league baseball,” McCormick said in the release.

A FOX 5 report stated that the team will continue to use the logos and operate under the brand adopted prior to the 2018 MiLB season. This comes as DBH is set to operate the Iowa Cubs, Memphis Redbirds, Scranton/Wilkes Barre RailRaiders, Hudson Valley Renegades and the San Jose Giants.

According to the report, the Braves' High-A affiliate will also remain affiliated with Atlanta's MLB franchise. Though the transaction still remains subject to Player Development League (PDL) approval, the Stripers will continue to be led by McCormick once it has closed.

As a part of DBH, McCormick will work closely with DBH leaders Executive Chairman Pat Battle and CEO Peter Freund to lead the club to its goals, the release says. Formed earlier this year, DBH works to support teams in ticket sales, food and beverage merchandise, content strategy and media rights, the release states.
