The University of Georgia wants to make sure Georgia is on everyone’s mind this weekend as it has scheduled a celebration to recognize the NCAA Football Champion Bulldogs.
Season ticket holders and students will have first dibs on tickets for Saturday's parade in Athens.
"All tickets are complimentary and will be available to season ticket holders and UGA students Tuesday through Thursday through an online request form," athletics officials told Fox 5 Atlanta.
Afterward, the general public will have access to the remaining tickets.
The parade comes just days after Georgia surprised Southeast Conference rival Alabama, a team that has been invited to the football playoffs a leading seven times. The four-team bracket system has been in effect since 2014.
The campus will open to visitors at 7 a.m. Jan. 15. Sanford Stadium gates will open at noon.
The parade will start at 12:30 p.m. and go down Lumpkin Street. That will be followed by a Dawg Walk and the formal celebration.
The defenses held strong in the first half, with the teams being limited to field goal attempts. The Tide took a 9-6 lead into the locker room.
Late in the third quarter, the Bulldogs went on an 80-yard drive, capping it with a 1-yard touchdown run by Zamir White.
The fourth quarter belonged to Georgia, as the Dawgs outscored the Tide 20-9, on the way to a 33-18 win. It was the first time the Bulldogs have earned the title since 1981.
