Atlanta Falcons star wideout Calvin Ridley may have bet more on NFL games than what was previously reported.

Ridley made a series of tweets recently as news of his gambling arose. Among comments, he acknowledged he was wrong, but called on his harsh penalty, stating he had reached a point where he couldn't even watch football anymore.

"I bet 1500 total I don't have a gambling problem," Ridley said in a tweet. 

Despite his claims, a recent report by Sports Handle highlighted documents obtained by the organization that show Ridley wagered more than the amount he claimed. The report also stated he placed more than the reported three parlay contests involving the Falcons over a six-day period in November of last year, with all wagers involving the Falcons ultimately graded as losses. 

The wide receiver wagered a total of $3,900 over six separate bets on or including Falcons games, the report said. Of those wagers, five were parlays that included the Falcons' moneyline, and one was a $1,300 in-game wager on the Falcons' team total in its victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 28. 

Ridley placed two additional $100 wagers on NFL games not involving the Falcons, the report said. Both of those resulted in wins totaling a profit of $654. Ridley also placed an additional 33 wagers totaling $32,733 on other sports and leagues, netting a profit of $2,744.

Ridley placed the bets during a period when he was on leave from the team to deal with a non-football-related condition, concerning which he stated he was prioritizing his own mental health, the report said. As a result of the allegations, Ridley has been suspended indefinitely, with a minimum suspension time running through the end of the 2022 season.
