City of Suwanee recently issued the following announcement.
The Suwanee Arts Center has partnered with the City of Suwanee for this two day community celebration of creativity! Everyone is invited to create illuminated costumes and carry their pre-made, battery-powered lanterns in this one-mile community parade through the streets surrounding Town Center Park. This electrical spectacle is family and pet friendly, so everyone can join in the fun!
Lantern Workshops - $30
Registration includes: 1 paper lantern, 1 bamboo stick, 1 LED light, decorating supplies
All ages welcome - children 8 yrs or younger must be accompanied by parent/guardian
Space is limited: class size/5-10 students

DIY paper lantern kits are available to purchase at the Suwanee Art Center.
Lanterns in assorted colors and sizes, prices vary. Pick up a kit and decorate at home
