City of Norcross recently issued the following announcement.

The Parks, Green Spaces, and Trails Commission (PG&T) Teen Team Task Force is spearheading a project to address safety concerns in Rossie Brundage Park with an experiment on the basketball court.

This experiment's goal is to do the following:

1. Temporary place fences to fit into a half court

2. Put up one net

3. Take down other rims

4. Leave it that way for 60 days (2 months) period

This experiment will run from April 8 to June 7, 2022. Please help the PG&T Teen Team Task Force by reporting any concerning or unlawful activity to Norcross Police. During this time we will also be doing weekly surveys of the park. After the 60 days period, we will review the reports with Police Chief Grogan and the PG&T Commission, then make a recommendation to the Mayor and City Council of Norcross on whether to keep the half court, or relocate it.

Contact the Norcross Police Dept. at 770-448-2111 with any questions, concerns, or reports. Thank you for your participation!
