Georgia's largest cancer network announces newest providers

Northside Hospital Cancer Institute is one of the largest community cancer networks in the nation. The program has the most board-certified medical oncologists in Georgia, who are conveniently located throughout the state for patients with any type of cancer. Northside announces the following new physicians and updates to the cancer network. 

Atlanta Cancer Care in Cumming welcomes Dr. Akansha Chowdhary. 

Dr. Chowdhary is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist with experience treating a wide variety of disorders. She has a special interest in benign hematology as well as lung, breast, prostate, and gastrointestinal malignancies. 

Dr. Chowdhary sees patients at Atlanta Cancer Care’s Cumming office, located at 1505 Northside Blvd., Suite 4600, Cumming, GA 30041.

 Northside welcomes Transplant & Oncology Infectious Disease Specialists of Georgia and  Dr. Gowri Satyanarayana to the Northside network.

Dr. Satyanarayana is a nationally and internationally recognized thought leader and educator in transplant infectious diseases and brings almost a decade of experience from Vanderbilt University Medical Center to the Northside Hospital System. She is well-published; her clinical interests include clinical trials, clinical research, teaching clinicians, as well as infectious diseases, transplant infectious diseases, antimicrobial stewardship, infections in cancer patients, antimicrobial resistance, and infection prevention.

Georgia Cancer Specialists’ Dr. Kristy McDonald is now seeing patients in Midtown Atlanta. 

Georgia Cancer Specialists’ Midtown office is located at 550 Peachtree Street NE, Suite 1185, Atlanta, GA 30308. 

Dr. McDonald is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine. Her special interests include lung cancer, breast cancer and benign hematology. She also will continue to see patients at the Georgia Cancer Specialists’  Cobb office, and through Dec. 2 at the  Douglasville office.
