The fourth-grade teacher of slain Migos rapper Takeoff is remembering him as someone always full of life, according to a recent report by FOX 5 Atlanta.

Just 28 years old, Takeoff formed one-third of the Grammy-nominated trio Migos, and was born and raised in Gwinnett County. Takeoff, whose off-stage name was Kirsnick Khari Ball, was killed earlier this month outside of 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston following a private party when police say two people opened fire and he was hit twice by stray bullets as an innocent bystander.

"I instantly just remembered young Kirsnick full of life, energy, he was everybody's friend, like everybody loved him," Simonton Elementary school teacher Sherri Manning told FOX 5 Atlanta.

Manning, who went by Ms. Saunders at the time Takeoff was in her classroom, says she did not know the Migos rap star had turned into a famous musician until hearing about his shooting death in Houston over the last month, the report states.

After hearing about the rap star’s death, Manning said she went digging through her pictures and found a fourth-grade class photograph of him from 2003, all the while struggling to make sense of his senseless killing and focusing on the fond memories she still has of him.

"t just saddens me that I hear about tragedies that happen with them because when I know them, they're so full of potential," Manning added.
