The Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Facilities & Operations team undertook a series of projects over the summer break, focusing on modernizing various school facilities. The team managed to replace HVAC systems at ten schools, including Brookwood High School and Dacula Middle School.

In addition to HVAC upgrades, 14 schools received new roofs. These included Brookwood Elementary School and South Gwinnett High School. Classroom renovations were also completed at ten schools such as Beaver Ridge Elementary School and Grayson Elementary School.

Seven major asphalt paving projects were finished in parking lots and driveways across the county. Schools involved in these projects included Berkmar Middle School and Duluth High School.

Other significant improvements included cafeteria renovations at Parkview High School and Career Technical Education (CTE) Lab projects at seven schools, including South Gwinnett High School and Mountain View High School.

Renovation work was also carried out at GIVE Center West to prepare for the new academic year. The extensive summer work was completed within eight weeks, with construction costs exceeding $1 million per day.
