Forbes has named Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) as one of the Best-In-State Employers for 2024. This recognition places GCPS at the 59th position among 100 organizations in Georgia and highlights it as one of nine educational institutions on the list. With a workforce exceeding 24,000, GCPS is the largest employer in Gwinnett County.
Chief Human Resources Officer Cathy Hardin expressed pride in this achievement: “We are incredibly honored to be recognized by Forbes as one of the Best In-State Employers, following our recognition on the Best Employers for New Grads and Best Employers for Women lists.” She emphasized that while accolades are appreciated, their focus remains on continuous quality improvement and maintaining an environment where employees feel valued and inspired.
Forbes collaborated with Statista to conduct surveys involving over 160,000 employees from companies with a minimum of 500 staff across the United States. The survey asked participants to rate their likelihood of recommending their employer and evaluate other employers they have known or worked for recently.
This marks the third instance this year where GCPS has been acknowledged by Forbes, having also appeared on its lists for Best Employer for New Grads and Best Employer for Women.
