Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) is seeking applicants for its GEMS Oversight Committee. This committee consists of parents, guardians, community members, and school district employees who are tasked with the annual review of the Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum standards.
The next meeting is planned for October 29, 2024. After reviewing the curriculum standards, the committee will propose revisions and additions to the Superintendent. These recommendations will then be considered by the Gwinnett County Board of Education.
Committee members serve a term of three years. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications online by August 9.
