Meredith White, an Instructional Technology and Innovation Coach at Collins Hill High School, has been honored with the 2024 Southern Conference on Language Teaching (SCOLT) Founders Award. This accolade is given to individuals who have significantly contributed to SCOLT and reflect the organization's core values.

White expressed her gratitude, stating, “I am honored to be the recipient of this year’s Founder’s Award and awestruck at the company I get to keep, both in the SCOLT region in general and among the previous recipients.”

Her dedication as a member of SCOLT is evident through her efforts in advancing language education and building a supportive community for educators. Her work resonates with SCOLT's mission to promote World Language education and inspire teaching excellence. White remarked, “Getting to work with the incredible educators across our region has been the pleasure of my career, and I am so grateful to SCOLT for the opportunities and support. I look forward to many more years together in hopes that I can give back to the profession even a fraction of what’s been generously given to me in the name of enjoyable, engaging, equitable language teaching and learning.”

The Southern Conference on Language Teaching aims to promote universal World Language education by fostering a valued community supported by various stakeholders.
