Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) will conduct an informational meeting for families of children with disabilities or suspected disabilities on Thursday, December 7. The event is open from 9 a.m. to noon at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center located at 437 Old Peachtree Road NW, Suwanee, in Central Gwinnett Room 2.111 of Building 200.

The Child Find meeting aims to provide details about the services offered by the school system to support students with disabilities. This initiative focuses on identifying and supporting students aged 3-21 who are enrolled in private or home school programs within Gwinnett County.

For families unable to attend this event but suspect their child may have a disability qualifying them for special education services, GCPS offers alternative resources. Families can reach out to the GCPS Parent Mentor or the Office of Compliance for further assistance.
