The Gwinnett Chamber recently hosted its annual Global Chamber Mixer at the Gas South District. The event gathered professionals from Gwinnett's international business community for networking, global tastings from Atlanta-based international restaurants, and an awards ceremony. This year introduced the Global Mixer Awards to honor those making significant contributions to global business.
Three individuals and organizations were recognized for their leadership in global industry, government partnership, and international trade. Nick Masino, President and CEO of the Gwinnett Chamber and Partnership Gwinnett, stated, “The Global Mixer Awards highlight the invaluable contributions of individuals and organizations fostering innovation, diplomacy, and economic growth across borders. Gwinnett’s international business community is stronger because of their efforts, and we are proud to recognize their achievements.”
The award winners included Mark Kuntz from Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC for the Global Industry Leader Award due to his work in sustainable HVAC solutions worldwide. Mio Maeda received the International Government Partner Award for strengthening U.S.-Japan relations through The Office of the Consul General of Japan in Atlanta. Nanolumens was awarded the International Trade Award for advancements in global commerce with innovative LED display technology.
