Gwinnett County Public Schools has recognized eight middle school students who have been awarded REACH Scholarships. Each recipient will receive a $10,000 scholarship to attend a Georgia HOPE-eligible public or private university or college. The scholars are identified in the 8th grade and receive support as they progress toward high school graduation.

The selected students are Danna Ruiz-Magana from Berkmar Middle School, Aydan Daniel from Coleman Middle School, Celeste Guarnieri from Creekland Middle School, Camila Salinas from Duluth Middle School, Keren Mulumba from Jones Middle School, Oscar Acosta Jr. from Osborne Middle School, Joshua Hall from Sweetwater Middle School, and Kori Moore from Twin Rivers.

The REACH Georgia Scholarship Program is a needs-based initiative that provides mentoring and scholarships to help promising students graduate high school and succeed in post-secondary education. Through collaboration with the Gwinnett County Public Schools Community-Based Mentoring Program, each REACH scholar will be paired with a mentor who offers guidance and support beyond education. Additionally, each student will have a school counselor acting as an academic coach to monitor their progress and assist in developing educational and career plans while identifying necessary academic and social supports.
