Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) will hold an informational meeting for families of children with disabilities or suspected disabilities on Thursday, December 5. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center, located at 437 Old Peachtree Road NW in Suwanee. It will be held in the Berkmar / Parkview Room 2.147 - 2.148 in Building 200.

The Child Find meeting aims to provide information about services available through the school system to support students with disabilities. The initiative seeks to identify and assist students aged 3-21 with disabilities who are currently enrolled in private or home school programs within Gwinnett County.

For those unable to attend the December 5 event but suspect their child may have a disability eligible for special education services, GCPS offers contact options for further inquiries. Families can reach out to Parent Mentor Dawn Albanese at (678) 301-7212 or via email at Dawn.Albanese@gcpsk12.org, as well as Becca McCleskey from the Office of Compliance at (678) 301-7104 or Becca.McCleskey@gcpsk12.org.
