Gardenia Medical Care recently celebrated its official opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on December 13th. The center is a hybrid telehealth and in-office concierge medical practice founded by Yasmilka Sarmiento, a bilingual Spanish-speaking Physician Associate. For the past decade, Sarmiento has dedicated her efforts to serving remote areas in the United States predominantly inhabited by Spanish-speaking, uninsured individuals. Her work involved conducting health workshops and screening fairs to address community needs.

Sarmiento observed the necessity for these communities to have access to healthcare providers who speak their language and understand their financial challenges. Gardenia Medical Care's mission is to educate patients through community-inspired workshops and health screening events. The practice aims to guide patients and provide urgent care when necessary while empowering them with knowledge for informed health decisions.

The new medical practice will cater to those without insurance, individuals with high copay insurances, people with busy schedules who struggle with in-person appointments, or those preferring a provider fluent in their language. Additionally, a VIP membership option will be available upon request for a more personalized medical experience.
