Gwinnett BOE appoints Gregory C. Jackson as Coleman Middle School principal

The Gwinnett County Board of Education has announced the appointment of Gregory C. Jackson as the new principal of Coleman Middle School. The decision was made during a meeting held on December 19, 2024.

Jackson brings extensive experience in education to his new role. He has been serving as an assistant principal at Corley Elementary School since 2019. His previous roles include assistant principal at Baldwin Elementary School from 2016 to 2019, and history teacher at Central Gwinnett High School from 2013 to 2016. Before that, he taught social studies at GIVE Center West and Meadowcreek High School.

Jackson holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a master's degree in Social Studies Education from Georgia State University. He also earned a specialist degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Georgia.

He is an alumnus of the Quality-Plus Leader Academy's Aspiring Leader Program, Cohort 7, completed in 2016, and is currently part of the Aspiring Principal Program, Cohort 17, set for completion in 2025.
