The Gwinnett Chamber recently held its second Congressional Welcome Luncheon, presented by Gateway85. The event featured U.S. Representatives Andrew Clyde and Hank Johnson, who engaged in a discussion about supporting the business community. Key topics included infrastructure improvements like the I-85 corridor and workforce stability.

The congressmen expressed differing views on addressing these challenges but emphasized mutual respect and collaboration. Congressman Clyde urged business leaders to remain informed and involved with their representatives, while Congressman Johnson advised finding a balance between logic and empathy.

The Gwinnett Chamber aims to foster civility, dialogue, and partnerships with congressional members amidst growing polarization.

Congressman Clyde serves Georgia’s Ninth District, covering North and Northeast Georgia, including Lawrenceville. Congressman Johnson represents Georgia’s Fourth District, which includes most of Dekalb County and parts of Gwinnett County.
