Anderson-Livsey Elementary School has renamed its Family Engagement Room to honor the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Rho Beta Sigma Alumni Chapter. The room now bears the name "The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Rho Beta Sigma Alumni Chapter Family Engagement Room," recognizing the fraternity's dedication to enhancing the school community.
Principal Christopher Jackson expressed gratitude for the partnership with the fraternity. “We are fortunate to directly benefit from Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Rho Beta Sigma Alumni Chapter’s Adopt-A-School Program,” he stated. “The organization’s commitment to our school has made a difference in the lives of our students and their families. Renaming our Family Engagement Room in their honor is a small token of our appreciation for their tireless efforts and unwavering support.”
For four years, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Rho Beta Sigma Alumni Chapter has supported Anderson-Livsey Elementary through various contributions. These include providing monthly Positive Behavior and Intervention Support incentives for students, teacher appreciation gifts, book exchanges, and consistent volunteer assistance in classrooms.
Chapter President Christopher Pugh commented on the recognition: “We are honored by this recognition,” he said. “Our partnership with Anderson-Livsey Elementary has been incredibly rewarding, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to support the success and well-being of the entire school community.”
The newly named Engagement Room serves as a hub for family involvement, offering a welcoming environment for parents, guardians, and community members to engage with the school through workshops and access valuable resources.
