Gwinnett County Public Schools hosts annual Tapestry arts event

Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) will host its annual Tapestry event, showcasing the talents of young artists from February 20 through March 25. The event will be held at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center (ISC) in Suwanee, where visitors can explore a diverse range of student artwork.

The ISC's lobby area will transform into an art museum featuring paintings, drawings, three-dimensional art, mixed media, pottery, jewelry, and two-dimensional art created by Gwinnett students. The exhibit is open to the public during business hours each week and designated weekend hours.

Building hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. No artwork will be displayed between March 13 and March 16.

The exhibition schedule is as follows:

- February 20-27: Participating schools include Berkmar, Brookwood, Discovery, Duluth, Norcross, Shiloh clusters; Paul Duke STEM High School; Oakland Meadow School; North Metro Academy of Performing Arts.

- March 4-11: Featured schools are Archer, Dacula, Grayson, Lanier, Meadowcreek, Mill Creek, North Gwinnett clusters; GIVE Center West; Grayson Technical Education Program; Gwinnett School of Mathematics Science and Technology; McClure Health Science High School; Phoenix High School.

- March 18-25: Central Gwinnett Collins Hill Mountain View Parkview Peachtree Ridge Seckinger South Gwinnett clusters along with Gwinnett Online Campus and the School of the Arts at Central Gwinnett High School.
