The Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Foundation has collaborated with the Gwinnett County Police Department (GPD) and the GCPS School Police to provide essential school supplies to families in need. This joint effort resulted in the distribution of clothes, water, gifts, and other necessary items to over 600 families residing in the Norcross community.
The GPD took charge of distributing these supplies to local apartment complexes and communities. In a subsequent event, GCPS School Resource Officers handed out supplies at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds.
"It truly is fantastic to partner with our friends at the Police Department who did the heavy lifting in distributing items to our most disadvantaged families," said Foundation Senior Executive Director Aaron Lupuloff.
