The Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Facilities and Operations division has completed a new three-story addition at Trickum Middle School. This expansion integrates with the existing structure and adds 25 classrooms, funded by E-SPLOST dollars.

The new classrooms are designed to enhance student collaboration and include specialized spaces such as computer science classrooms, a chemistry lab, and a music technology lab. The addition increases the school's capacity by 500 students. Safety features include two additional stairwells and three new exterior exits for quick evacuation during emergencies.

Renovations were also made to improve existing facilities. These upgrades include a redesigned Tech Ed classroom, an expanded Band room, and enhancements to the Art room. Trickum Middle School now boasts a renovated STEM lab and a new outdoor classroom, offering students more opportunities for exploration and learning.

Images of the project showcase how E-SPLOST funds are utilized within the school district to benefit learning communities.
