The Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Foundation has been awarded a $50,000 grant by Gas South to bolster STEM education initiatives within the district. This funding aims to assist students in designing prototypes and developing solutions for presentation at the Gwinnett Regional Science, Engineering + Innovation Fair, as well as other state and international competitions. The fair offers students practical experiences to display their innovations and engage in problem-solving activities.
Jessica Holden, GCPS Director of Science, stated, “Gas South’s generous support will have a tremendous impact on student engagement and excellence in STEM.” She emphasized that the grant will provide enhanced learning opportunities and resources to inspire students towards careers in science and engineering.
The GCPS Foundation plays a crucial role in securing resources to advance educational excellence. Gas South's contribution is consistent with its mission to support local communities and invest in future innovators.
