Two educators from Gwinnett County Public Schools have been recognized for their contributions to art education. Amber Arnold, a Fine Arts Instructional Coach at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center, and Kelly Rollocks, an art instructor at Berkmar Middle School, received honors from the Georgia Art Education Association (GAEA). Arnold was awarded the 2025 Supervision/Administration Art Educator of the Year Award, while Rollocks was named the 2025 Outstanding Georgia Middle Art Educator of the Year.
The GAEA annually acknowledges members for their dedication to visual arts in Georgia. Candidates are nominated by peers and selected through a committee process. "This award [Supervisor/Administrator Art Educator of the Year] honors a person who serves in a supervisory or administrative position in support of teachers. In her role as an instructional coach, Amber’s leadership in the support of our teachers is unmatched," said GCPS Director of Fine Arts David DuBose. "[Kelly Rollocks] works tirelessly designing and supporting professional learning, writing curriculum, and providing overall teacher support specific to middle school art teachers in our district and that is on top of the amazing work that she does in her classroom and school every day."
GAEA is committed to advancing visual arts education in Georgia by providing resources for educators to inspire young learners.
