The Esports teams from Brookwood High School and North Gwinnett High School have secured state championship titles in the Georgia High School Association's 2024-25 Fall season. Brookwood triumphed in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, while North Gwinnett claimed victory in League of Legends.

North Gwinnett High celebrated its first-ever Esports championship with a win against Northview High School, marking a significant achievement for the program launched just four years ago. The "Teddy Bears" team won with a score of 2-1. Reflecting on their success, Coach Zach Bosworth said, "Our team is very proud of our accomplishments last season. This team finished third in the state tournament in spring 2024, and we wanted to make another run at the title."

Brookwood High's Esports program added another accolade to its record by winning its fifth state championship in Super Smash Bros. (5A-6A). The team known as The Brookwood High Chillagers defeated Discovery High School 3-1. Coach Mick Winzeler attributed their success to the team's culture: "To win five state titles takes a lot of consistency, but it's mostly due to the culture of the program."

Team members for Brookwood include Maddox Overton, Kyle Holcombe, Spencer Pozsgay, and Sean Pozsgay. Representing North Gwinnett were Samuel Lee, Zion Park, David Kangy, Matthew Shin, and Caister Choi.
