Gwinnett County Parent Mentors, in partnership with Gwinnett County Public Schools’ Special Education Department, will hold a session titled “Planning for an Engaging Summer Break” on Tuesday, March 11. This event is designed for families of students across all school levels—elementary, middle, and high school.
Dawn Albanese from the GCPS Special Education Department will lead the session. She will provide families with strategies to plan summer activities such as volunteer work, library programs, camps, and family trips.
The event offers two sessions: an in-person meeting from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center in Suwanee, Georgia; and a virtual session via Zoom from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Participants must register beforehand to attend either session. After registration for the online meeting, attendees will receive a confirmation email with details on how to join.
