Georgia Gwinnett College Athletics issued the following announcement on May 26.
Sixty-nine Georgia Gwinnett College student-athletes have added their names to the Office of Athletics' Director of Athletics Honor Roll for their strong academic performances during the 2021 spring semester.
The honor roll recognizes student-athletes for having a 3.0 or higher grade point average for the past academic semester.
Overall, the department compiled a 3.03 GPA for the 2020-21 academic year. Twenty-eight student-athletes garnered President's List academic honors with a perfect 4.0 GPA this spring, while 11 additional student-athletes earned Dean's List distinction with GPAs between 3.6-3.99 for the past semester.
Three teams posted a collective 3.0 or higher GPA during the spring 2021 semester, led by softball's 3.62 average while being ranked among the nation's best teams. The team led the spring AD Honor Roll recipients with 21 student-athletes being recognized.
Women's and men's soccer each compiled a 3.06 GPA for the most recent academic semester. Women's soccer had 18 honorees and men's soccer posted 12 honor roll student-athletes this spring.
The national championship women's tennis team had a 3.0 or higher GPA across the Fall and Spring academic semesters of the 2020-21 school year.
