Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Parent Mentors, in partnership with the GCPS Special Education Department, are set to host a session titled "Preparing for the Annual GCPS Transition Fair" on Thursday, February 27. This event is recommended for families of students across all educational levels—elementary, middle, and high school. The aim is to help families navigate the upcoming Transition Fair effectively and access suitable resources for their children.
The session will be led by Tamra King, Coordinator of the GCPS Special Education Department, and Lisa Divers, an Instructional Coach. They intend to equip families with the necessary tools to plan for their children's future.
Two sessions are available: an in-person meeting from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center in Suwanee, Georgia; and an online Zoom session from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Registration is required for both sessions.
