MGA To Host Arbor Day Celebration & Tree Planting

Middle Georgia State University recently issued the following announcement.

The Middle Georgia State University community is invited to an Arbor Day celebration and tree planting at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, on the Macon Campus near the tennis courts. University representatives will plant a deodar cedar and present an Arbor Day proclamation.

The event will be documented to help MGA maintain its Tree Campus USA designation. Tree Campus USA is a program founded by the Arbor Day Foundation to recognize colleges and universities that effectively manage trees and engage students in participating in campus beautification and educating them on environmental issues.
