Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) is preparing for the 2024-2025 academic year with its School Nutrition Program, offering nutritious meals at economical prices. The program uses familiar brands such as Tyson, General Mills, Kellogg’s, and Land O’ Lakes. Additionally, the Farm to School initiative provides a variety of fruits and vegetables.

The district's 135 school cafeterias will serve breakfast and lunch daily. Menus can be accessed via the "NutriSlice" app or online at https://gwinnett.nutrislice.com/menus-eula.

For the upcoming school year, meal prices are set as follows: elementary student lunch costs $2.50, middle and high school lunch $2.75, reduced-price lunch $0.40, adult breakfast $2.50, student breakfast $1.75, reduced-price breakfast $0.30, and adult lunch $4.00.

Breakfast policies vary by school type: Title I schools offer free breakfast to all students; non-Title I schools provide free breakfast to those eligible for Free and Reduced-Price meals while others pay $1.75.

Lunches are free for Free and Reduced-Price students; others pay according to set prices.

Families are encouraged to complete applications for free/reduced-price meals promptly.

New menu items include garlic knots with entrees, granola for parfaits and yogurt cups, wheat crackers with salads, various subs and sandwiches, Parmesan carrot fries & charro beans as veggie sides, buttermilk brined pulled chicken for high schools only, brunch-for-lunch French toast bites with chicken sausage across all levels.

New Smart Snack compliant items available à la carte include Doritos Reduced Fat Tortilla Chips and Whole Grain-Rich Chocolate Chip Rice Krispies Treats among others.

Last year's program achievements included an average health inspection score of 99.05%, serving 29.7 million student meals—9.9 million breakfasts and 19.8 million lunches—and distributing over 1.4 million pounds of regionally grown produce through the Farm-to-School program.
