Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) is advancing its educational programs to ensure students are prepared for college and careers. The district emphasizes innovative classroom instruction and the use of modern technology in its facilities.

The Grayson Technical Education Program has introduced a new Networking and Cloud Computing program, which aims to equip students with critical skills needed in the rapidly growing field of cloud computing. This initiative allows students to gain hands-on experience using industry tools and offers certifications like CompTIA Network+ and AWS Cloud Practitioner. Currently, 57 students are enrolled in this program.

Maxwell High School of Technology offers a Certified Nursing Assistant program, where 85% of participating students achieved certification last year. The school also provides a Flight Operations program in partnership with Delta Air Lines, FedEx, and Middle Georgia State University. Fifteen students passed their FAA private pilot written exam during the last academic year.

Seckinger High School continues to prepare students for an AI-infused future through AI-Ready learning experiences. The curriculum includes pathways in various fields such as Engineering and Computer Science. Meanwhile, McClure Health Science High School focuses on health science education, offering career paths like Clinical Studies and Health IT.

Paul Duke STEM High School expands its technology offerings by introducing cybersecurity pathways in collaboration with Gwinnett Technical College and Mercer University. Approximately 50 students complete the on-campus cybersecurity pathway each year.

GCPS's Computer Science for All initiative ensures all K-12 schools offer computer science programs aimed at improving equity and access while developing student understanding of computing's role in society.

The Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Program has expanded across the district, now including Hopkins Elementary with a Spanish DLI program starting from Kindergarten.

STEM/STEAM education remains a priority for GCPS, with several schools receiving certifications from the Georgia Department of Education. These programs focus on real-world problem-solving skills through integrated learning experiences.

The Junior Achievement (JA) Discovery Center at Gwinnett enters its ninth year, providing financial literacy and career readiness simulations to thousands of middle school students annually. Volunteers play a crucial role in its operation.

The 3DE program connects high school students with business leaders at Norcross High School, Parkview High School, and South Gwinnett High School, providing them with real-world business experience through partnerships with major companies.

Seven high schools continue to develop College and Career Academies that allow students to explore potential careers while gaining practical experience through internships and project-based learning opportunities.
