Gwinnett County Parent Mentors, in partnership with Gwinnett County Public Schools’ Special Education Department, will hold a session titled "Preparing for the Annual GCPS Transition Fair" on Tuesday, February 27. This event is recommended for parents of students across all school levels: elementary, middle, and high school.

The session aims to guide parents on how to effectively navigate the upcoming GCPS Transition Fair scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2024. It seeks to equip and empower parents with knowledge and strategies to plan their child's future by maximizing access to relevant resources.

Tamra King, Coordinator of the GCPS Special Education Department, along with Instructional Coach Lisa Divers, will host the sessions. The event offers two options for attendance: an in-person session from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center in Suwanee, Georgia, and an online Zoom session from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Interested participants can register through provided links for either session. Upon registration for the Zoom session, attendees will receive a confirmation email with details on joining the meeting.

For additional information or questions about the event, Parent Mentor Dawn Albanese can be contacted via phone at (678) 301-7212 or email at dawn.albanese@gcpsk12.org. Interpretation services are available upon request if made at least one week before the meeting date; Spanish interpretation has already been arranged.
